In Loving Memory of Jeremiah Dallas
With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we gather to honor and remember the life of Jeremiah Dallas, a young man whose life was tragically taken far too soon in a senseless act of violence in High Point, North Carolina.
On the night of April 29, 2026, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers with the High Point Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at a home located on Hidden Creek Terrace, in a neighborhood off Brentwood Street. What they encountered upon arrival was a devastating scene that would forever change the lives of many.
Jeremiah Dallas, a 22-year-old resident of High Point, was found in the front yard of the home suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the urgency of the situation, he was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene. Inside the residence, a 35-year-old man was also found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is expected to recover from non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have indicated that this heartbreaking incident is believed to have been targeted. Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit have since been working diligently, gathering evidence and piecing together the circumstances surrounding the shooting in an effort to determine the motive and bring those responsible to justice. At this time, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
While the details of that tragic night continue to unfold, what remains certain is the profound loss of a young life filled with promise. Jeremiah was more than the circumstances of his passing—he was a son, a friend, and a cherished member of his community.
