In Loving Memory of Fire Chief Russell “Rusty” Shoultz

With profound sadness, the City of Walker mourns the sudden and unexpected passing of Fire Chief Russell “Rusty” Shoultz, who died early Friday morning following a medical emergency. His loss has left a deep and painful void within the department he led, the city he served, and the many lives he touched throughout his distinguished career.

Mayor Gary Carey described the loss as “profound,” honoring Chief Shoultz as a leader who consistently put people first and worked tirelessly to build trust between the fire department and the community it serves.
