CHICAGO, Illinois — The community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Antonio Crawford, 15, of Buffalo Grove, who was found unresponsive inside a residence on West Adams Street on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Chicago Police Department and Chicago Fire Department, emergency responders were called to the 2000 block of West Adams Street at approximately 1:27 p.m. for a report of an unresponsive person. Upon arrival, a teenage boy was discovered inside the residence and was pronounced dead at the scene. Area Three Detectives were subsequently assigned to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the teen as Antonio Crawford, 15, though initial reports had incorrectly listed his age as 16. Officials have stated that the cause and manner of death remain pending, and further information has not yet been released as the investigation continues.
Authorities have not confirmed whether foul play is suspected, and the case remains under active review pending autopsy results.
