The Dickinson community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Isabelle Bartee, whose life was tragically cut short following a fatal scooter crash on the evening of May 23, 2026. Family, friends, classmates, and loved ones are left devastated by the sudden passing of a young life filled with promise, kindness, and unforgettable memories.
According to authorities, the tragic accident occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. Mountain Time near the intersection of 30th Avenue West and 18th Street West in Dickinson, North Dakota. Reports from the investigation state that Isabelle was operating a 2021 Honda WW150 scooter southbound on 30th Avenue West when the scooter veered to the right, overturned, and struck a light post. Emergency responders from the North Dakota State Patrol, Dickinson Police Department, and Dickinson EMS arrived quickly at the scene. Despite their efforts, Isabelle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Isabelle will be remembered not only for the tragic way her life ended, but for the beautiful way she lived.
