Upon arrival, deputies discovered LuVenya unconscious and not breathing inside the residence. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by law enforcement officers and emergency medical personnel, she was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n
Authorities stated that Kermarion Markel Washington, 22, of Tennille, was taken into custody shortly after the incident and was subsequently arrested. He is currently being held at the Washington County Jail pending a bond hearing in Washington County Superior Court. Investigators have charged him with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, felony murder, malice murder, child molestation, and statutory rape.
