Urgent Appeal: Search Underway for Missing Teen Ashley Calder in Romford

Authorities are urgently seeking the public’s help in locating Ashley Calder, an 18-year-old who was reported missing in Romford during the early hours of Saturday, May 2. Police and her family say her disappearance is out of character, raising growing concern for her safety and wellbeing.

According to Essex Police, Ashley was last seen at approximately 3:30 a.m. while out with friends in the Romford area. Family members say she had been at a nightclub known as Dukebox before she was last seen. Since then, there has been no confirmed contact with her, and her phone—previously active—is now switched off.

Ashley was last seen wearing grey jeans, a white vest-style top, and beige trainers. She is also reported to have a distinctive flower tattoo on her right wrist, which may help identify her. Loved ones added that she had her hair down at the time and was carrying a black handbag.

Family members say Ashley had planned to return to her sister’s home that night but never arrived, deepening fears for her safety. They have described her disappearance as highly unusual and are pleading for anyone with information to come forward.

Police are urging anyone who was in or around Romford during the early morning hours to review CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage that might help trace Ashley’s movements. Even the smallest detail could be vital in helping locate her.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Essex Police immediately.
