In Loving Memory of Charles Wade Jr. (“Chucc Comedian”)
With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we remember and honor the life of Charles Wade Jr., affectionately known to many as “Chucc Comedian.” A man whose name brought laughter, warmth, and light into every room he entered, Charles was more than a comedian—he was a son, a friend, a community member, and a soul whose presence left a lasting imprint on all who knew him.
On April 27, 2026, tragedy struck in the Carver Courts community when Charles’ life was taken far too soon. At just 36 years old, his passing has left an unfillable void, not only in the hearts of his loved ones but across the entire Kinston community. Responding officers did all they could in those critical moments, but despite their efforts, Charles succumbed to his injuries. The pain of that loss is one that words can scarcely capture.
Charles was widely known for his infectious personality and his gift for making people laugh. As “Chucc Comedian,” he had a natural ability to turn even the hardest days into moments of joy. His humor was more than entertainment—it was a source of comfort, a reminder to others that even in life’s struggles, there is still room for light, connection, and laughter.
Beyond the stage and the laughter he inspired, Charles was deeply human—someone who cared about his community and the people in it. He had a way of making others feel seen and valued, often using humor not just to entertain, but to uplift. His presence was magnetic, and his absence is now profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
To his family, Charles was a beloved son and relative whose love and personality filled their lives with meaning. To his friends, he was a loyal companion, someone who could brighten any space simply by being there. And to his community, he was a familiar and cherished figure whose contributions extended far beyond comedy.
The loss of Charles Wade Jr. is not only a personal tragedy for those closest to him, but a collective sorrow shared throughout Kinston and beyond. In moments like these, grief is met with remembrance, and pain is softened by the memories of joy he created.
Though his life was cut short, Charles’ legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the hearts he touched, and the light he brought into the world. His voice, his humor, and his spirit will continue to echo in the memories of those who loved him.
May “Chucc Comedian” be remembered not for the way he left this world, but for the joy he brought into it. May his soul rest in peace, and may his loved ones find strength in the love and laughter he left behind.
