In Loving Memory of Charles Wade Jr. (“Chucc Comedian”)
With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we remember and honor the life of Charles Wade Jr., affectionately known to many as “Chucc Comedian.” A man whose name brought laughter, warmth, and light into every room he entered, Charles was far more than a comedian—he was a devoted son, a loyal friend, a cherished community member, and a soul whose presence left a lasting imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Charles had a gift that cannot be taught: the ability to make people smile even in their darkest moments. His humor was not just about jokes—it was about connection. It was about lifting spirits, bringing people together, and reminding everyone around him that joy can exist even in the midst of hardship. Whether he was performing, sharing stories, or simply being himself, Charles radiated a kind of authenticity that drew people in and made them feel seen and valued.
On April 27, 2026, tragedy struck the Carver Courts community when Charles’ life was taken far too soon. At just 36 years old, his untimely passing has left an unfillable void. The loss is deeply felt not only by his family and close friends but across the entire Kinston community, where his presence was both known and loved. Responding officers did all they could in those critical moments, but despite their efforts, Charles succumbed to his injuries. The pain of this loss is one that words can scarcely capture.
In moments like these, we are reminded of how fragile life can be and how important it is to cherish every laugh, every conversation, and every shared memory. Charles gave so much of himself to others—his time, his energy, his laughter—and in return, he earned the love and respect of so many. His legacy is not defined by the way he left this world, but by the way he lived in it: boldly, joyfully, and with a heart open to everyone.
Those who knew Charles will remember his infectious laugh, his quick wit, and his unwavering ability to brighten even the dullest days. He had a way of turning ordinary moments into unforgettable ones, leaving behind stories that will be told and retold for years to come. Though he is no longer physically with us, the impact he made will continue to echo in the lives he touched.
As we mourn this profound loss, we also celebrate the life Charles lived. We honor his memory by holding onto the laughter he gave us, the kindness he showed, and the love he shared so freely. May his spirit continue to inspire us to bring light into each other’s lives, just as he did every single day.
Rest in peace, Charles Wade Jr. Your laughter will never be forgotten, and your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.
