In Loving Memory of Nolan Allen IV (“Lod Yungin”)
With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we come together to remember and honor the life of Nolan Allen IV, lovingly known to many as “Lod Yungin.” At just 21 years old, Nolan’s life was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence in Baton Rouge, leaving behind a profound and painful void in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
In the early hours of that heartbreaking morning, just before 2 a.m., tragedy unfolded outside a Circle K near the Perkins Road Interstate 10 on-ramp. According to authorities, Nolan was found inside a vehicle, having suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Despite the swift response from first responders, his life was taken far too soon—leaving behind grief, unanswered questions, and a community shaken to its core.
Nolan was more than a headline or a statistic. He was a young man full of life, known for his presence, his energy, and the connections he built with those around him. To his loved ones, he was a son, a friend, and a light that brought meaning and joy into their lives. His nickname, “Lod Yungin,” carried with it a sense of identity and belonging—one that reflected both his spirit and the way he was known and loved in his community.
His passing is a painful reminder of how fragile life can be and how deeply violence impacts not just individuals, but entire communities. Those who knew Nolan will remember his smile, his voice, and the moments they shared—memories that now become treasures held tightly in the face of loss.
As his family and friends navigate this unimaginable grief, we lift them in prayer and support, hoping they find strength in one another and in the love Nolan left behind. Though his time on earth was far too short, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
May Nolan Allen IV rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy never be forgotten.
