In Loving Memory of Lemonte Crandall
The community of Belhaven, North Carolina, is mourning the tragic and untimely loss of Lemonte Crandall, 55, whose life was taken in a shooting that has left family, friends, and loved ones heartbroken.
According to the Belhaven Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Elm Street at approximately 8 p.m. following multiple reports of gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered Lemonte Crandall suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Following the incident, officers quickly secured the area and established a perimeter while beginning their investigation. Deputies from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office also responded to assist in processing the scene and supporting the ongoing investigation.
Lemonte’s passing has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. As the community searches for answers, they also come together to remember and honor his life, his presence, and the memories he leaves behind.
Though his life was tragically cut short, Lemonte Crandall will not be forgotten.
